Be Still and Know
Meditation is a meaningful, intentional practice of deep connection. Connecting to your higher self, learning to be present in the mystery of being here. We live in a culture that deprives us of our time and attention. Meditation gives us the ability to enter into our stillness, our knowing. That's where the wisdom resides. When you withdraw from the distractions of the world, you get clearer on who you are and how you're showing up, moving from a state of doing to a state of being.
There are many science supported benefits to having a consistent mindfulness practice. Meditation activates our parasympathetic nervous system, which controls the body's ability to relax. This is our rest and digest state. From this place of healing, we can ease depression and anxiety, reduce stress and improve sleep to name a few.
There are also many different types of meditation, whether it be mindfulness, guided or moving meditation, like anything else, finding what works for you is most important.
Please join me in the beautiful practice of guided meditation. No experience needed, just a willingness to trust the process.
