Hello! I’m Lisa.
I have been a spiritual seeker my whole life. Nature is my church. I bought my first self help book in high school and have been on a journey towards personal growth ever since. Oprah was my tv Guru, introducing me to so many influential teachers. I have always loved science and the human mind and body. I graduated college with a biology degree while also minoring in psychology. All through college I worked as a certified nurses aide at a nursing home. Aside from being a mom, it was the hardest but most rewarding work I've ever done. It was there that I experienced the impact that the human touch could have on another human being. I attended massage school after college and began working at a physical therapy office where I would remain for ten years gaining invaluable experience and skills. During that time I was also working to build my own private practice which I continue to do today.
Married, with three very active kids, keeps me in a constant state of trying to balance it all. I know exhaustion and endless to-do lists but I also know that I cannot lose sight of my own self-care, my needs and my wants. Gardening, dance, meditation and my morning cup of coffee are a few of my many tools for renewal. I recently went back to school for my coaching certification because I wanted to have a layered approach in how I could help people, especially women. Through my coaching program, I came to realize my love for facilitating guided meditation and I'm now offering a monthly meditation class. I completed my Reiki 1 and 2 certifications and look forward to becoming a master reiki practitioner in the near future. As a massage therapist, I knew that my sessions were having an impact energetically but I wanted to understand and intentionally practice energy work, leading me to study the Usui System of Reiki.
I have been immersed in the wellness field both professionally and personally for almost three decades. It has had a profound impact on my life and I hope to show others how self-care can enrich theirs.
I invite you to consider one or more of these offerings as you embark on your own journey towards wellness.
I look forward to working with you!
